Life's too short to be boring. Impact Black starts life as new leather, this is never recycled or 'old' leather. It is distressed and weathered, with final touches of patina applied by hand.
This is not by any means suede leather. The color of this strap is 'black' and it has a mix of browns in there as you can see. Color varies in lighting conditions. Note that due to the abuse this leather has to go through in order to become the final strap, this leather is of exceptional toughness (while remaining very pliable & soft) and as such is not suited for very small lug width watches. It does work on watches that provide less space with curved springbars however (see also the picture of the Explorer which has notoriously little space for straps).
